Turkish president challenges Saudi Arabia over missing reporter

The Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called on Saudia Arabia to prove that the Saudi journalist who disappeared from its consulate in Istanbul last week is alive. Jamal Khashoggi, a vocal critic of the Saudi Royal Court, has not been seen since entering the building in Istanbul on October 2. The Saudis say he left by a back entrance, but President Erdogan has challenged them to release CCTV footage, rejecting claims that cameras were not working. The US President Donald Trump has also has vowed to "get to the bottom" of the case. Mr Khashoggi was living in self imposed exile in the US, writing for the Washington Post.
