NZTA boss won't resign over trucking safety policy failures

From Morning Report, 6:45 am on 16 October 2018

The head of the Transport Agency won't be resigning yet over revelations it's failed to police the system that keeps dangerous vehicles off the road. The agency's chief executive Fergus Gammie says letting the industry self-regulate hasn't worked but he told RNZ reporter Phil Pennington he's focusing on fixing the problems.
