Immigration Minister under pressure over Czech man's residency

An embarrassed Immigration Minister is demanding his officials review all information provided him about a Czech man Karel Sroubek. Sroubek also known as Jan Antolik, was granted residency despite being jailed two years ago, for more than five years, for importing about 5kg of MDMA or ecstasy. It's been suggested Sroubek wanted to stay here as he feared for his safety if he returned home. National then told Parliament he had been back to the Czech Republic since the early 2000s meaning those fears for his safety do not hold much water. Mr Lees-Galloway spoke to reporters on Wednesday.
