Vehicle importer, tester conflict a 'serious issue' - NZTA boss

A certifier who had the final say on whether damaged vehicles could go back on the road has admitted giving pass marks to vehicles that were still damaged. An Auckland-based certifier Dale Barlass is the third certifier to be suspended by the New Zealand Transport Agency which says it's still investigating whether to revoke any of the certifications he's issued. Talking to Kim Hill is the chief executive of NZTA - Fergus Gammie.
