What's behind the drop in petrol price?

A month ago we couldn't stop talking about the ever increasing price of petrol. Some even predicted that by Christmas we'd be paying three dollars a litre. But over the past three weeks, the price has steadily dropped from around $2.50 a litre for most people outside Auckland, to just under $2.20 in some places. Why the change? Ian Twomey is an energy consultant. He talks to Guyon Espiner.
