Low deciles equal top schools in rankings - NZ Initiative data

From Morning Report, 8:22 am on 8 April 2019

A study of 400,000 students' NCEA results has found there's no difference between schools in the poorest communities and those in the richest. The New Zealand Initiative think tank says its research has found that once family background is accounted for, most schools have about the same impact on their students' results. It says it would love to provide full results, but it's bound by a confidentiality agreement with Statistics New Zealand. The Initiative's director, Oliver Hartwich, talks to Guyon Espiner.
