Doubts Sri Lanka bombings were retaliation for Christchurch

Doubt is being cast over claims made by Sri Lanka's deputy defence minister that the Easter Sunday bombings were in retaliation for the Christchurch mosque attacks. A spokesperson for the Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, says New Zealand has not yet seen any intelligence upon which such an assessment might be based. Earlier on Morning Report security consultant Paul Buchanan said he thought it was very unlikely that these attacks were in relatiation for Christchurch.
