Truckers are finding shock absorbers torn from trailers and steering joints failing more often and blame the worsening state of highways.
By most measures the country's highways are going backwards, prompting a call for the Government to urgently tap into Covid-19 funds.
The Transport Minister Phil Twyford says the Government has increased highway maintenance spending 36 percent and next term wants to raise that another 17 percent.
