Lorde's song 'Stoned at the Nail Salon' is attracting controversy, with Lana Del Rey fans arguing its melodic ideas owe quite a bit to two of the American singer-songwriter's hits.

One of them is Del Rey's 'Hope Is A Dangerous Thing For A Woman Like Me To Have'.

According to The Sun in the UK, Lorde's people have subsequently offered Lana Del Rey a percentage of the track's royalties - with Del Rey's people asking instead for a public acknowledgement of the source.
