Jacinda Ardern says the protestors have had their time, it’s time for them to go home, and police are now taking action to ensure the protest doesn’t grow.
The Prime Minister says a police operation at parliament this morning is intended to stop the protest there growing, or causing more disruption.
Concrete blocks have been brought in to form new barriers, and crowds of protesters faced off against lines of officers from 4am.

She told Morning Report the disruption caused by the protesters is extraordinary, and everything would be resolved if people just went home.
