Warning flow on effects from cancelled Air New Zealand flights will continue

From Morning Report, 7:13 am on 22 July 2022

Thousands of people were left stranded on Thursday after Air New Zealand cancelled 181 flights.

Wild weather during the peak of school holiday travel means the disruption to flights will roll on for several days as Air New Zealand attempts to clear the backlog.

Air New Zealand chief executive Greg Foran said the cancellations have also displaced aircraft and flight crew, and will impact the entire domestic network.

Foran spoke to Susie Ferguson.
