An Electoral Amendment Bill which would tighten laws on political donations is expected to pass its First Reading today.
Electoral laws have come under increasing scrutiny since the High Court ruled two men who collected political donations, funnelling them through the New Zealand First Foundation were not guilty last month.
If passed, the changes will come into effect in time for next year's election.
