Secondary school teachers are poised to take industrial action over their stalled pay talks as schools reopen from next week.
The Post Primary Teachers Assocation has confirmed that unless there is improvement its members will refuse to cover for absent colleagues when classes resume.
Meanwhile, the Educational Institute says primary teachers will meet to consider an improved offer next month.
