The extreme rain in Auckland has cost businesses dearly - many saw their shops flooded, their equipment written off and thousands of dollars down the drain after waist-high water took over their businesses.
The Auckland Business Chamber is already expecting to total costs to be in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
