The Prime Minister is en route to the United Kingdom ahead of the coronation of King Charles the Third.
Chris Hipkins is also expected hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts in the UK, Tonga and Canada while in London.
He says he's "optimistic" he will lock in a date as to when New Zealand's free trade agreement with the UK will come into force.
