Ceremonial tree plantings took place around the country on the weekend to mark King Charles' Coronation.
Acting Prime Minister Carmel Sepuloni planted a pōhutakawa in the Auckland domain yesterday and Tory Whanau planted a tōtara in Wellington's botanical gardens on Saturday.
There are still tens of thousands of native trees to be planted as part of New Zealand's gift to mark the King's special day.
Robyn Haugh is the chief executive of Trees that Count, an organisation supporting the planting effort.
She spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.
