A community on Auckland's North Shore remains on edge after diners in three restaurants were attacked on Monday night.
Witnesses say the offender swung an axe, injuring three people - two are still in hospital.
A man was granted interim name suppression when he appeared in the North Shore District Court charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
