High schools will be returning to their regular schedules from today with the teachers' union calling off industrial action.
The PPTA agreed yesterday on the arbitration process for its pay dispute with the Ministry of Education, putting an immediate stop to their refusal to teach two year groups four days a week.
One parent who's relieved by the news is Jono Skipwith.
He started a petition to stop the strikes, collecting over three thousand signatures in less than two weeks.
