A West Auckland resident who lives near Scenic Drive, which has been closed after a red-stickered house started slipping towards the road last night, says the house has been moving for weeks.
Fire and Emergency was called to Swanson amid concerns the house was slipping amid heavy rain, and a neighbour was evacuated.
The house is one of several on a particular stretch of Scenic Drive that have been condemned as a result of flooding in late January.
Swanson resident Sue lives nearby, and told our reporter Lucy Xia the house has been visibly moving for some time.
