Labour MP Kiri Allan is on parliamentary leave again for a couple of weeks while her boss looks to tidy up the mess around her alleged treatment of staff and officials.
The Allan saga is the latest in a line of ministerial problems and missteps that have seen a number of ministers quit their roles over issues of conduct.
It's also overshadowed a popular announcement such as this week's news that thousands more patients will become eligible for cataract surgeries.
