NATO ends in widespread support for Ukraine

A show of support from G7 leaders has helped ease the frustrations of Ukrainian president Vlodymyr Zelensky, after a tense NATO summit in Lithuania.

G7 leaders offered a joint declaration of support for Ukraine overnight, aimed at bolstering the war-torn country's military capability.

President Zelensky praised the result, a change from his earlier frustration that his country had not been given a firm timeline for when Ukraine could become a member of NATO.

Our correspondent in Lithuania, Philip Crowther, told Ingrid Hipkiss the country will have to wait for the war to be over before it gets let in.
