It's setting up to be a cold and slippery day for parts of Wellington and the South Island.
That's the word from MetService who've put out a heavy snow watch for inland Buller and western parts of the Tasman district, and a snowfall warning for State Highway 2, Remutaka Hill.
Another snow watch applies for inland Marlborough, the Richmond Ranges and Nelson Lakes National Park.
