Former National Leader Todd Muller admits he was tempted by the prospect of being a minister, but doesn't doubt his decision to leave politics.
Muller delivered his valedictory statement - which covered climate change, mental health, and race relations - at Parliament Wednesday night.
Muller was first elected in 2014 and became the leader of the National Party six years later - but stood down after 53 days due to a mental health breakdown. He remained an MP and was promoted to number 12 on National's list at the start of this year.
Muller spoke to political reporter Katie Scotcher.
