It's been a turbulent first week for the new government, without any semblance of a honeymoon period after finally taking office.
A major protest was led by Te Pāti Māori regarding many of the new government's plans, and the Māori King has now called for a national hui next month.
And on day one in the house the opposition was on the attack, accusing the government of trashing New Zealand's reputation.
