Local Government New Zealand is warning ratepayers they need to get used to double-digit rates increases.
The council umbrella group and the lead group of infrastructure management professionals, now known as Āpōpō, met on Monday to discuss how to manage looming infrastructure costs of hundreds of billions of dollars.
