Allison Durbin began singing as an 11 year old at talent quests. She was making recordings as a teenager, and at the age of 17, had a big hit in New Zealand with 'I Have Loved Me a Man'. This was followed by several more recordings in New Zealand, before she moved to Australia and went on to have a successul career as a singer of country music.
