Tommy Adderley was a popular entertainer from his arrival from England in the late 1950s until the demise of his popular group Headband in the 1970s. Adderley died in 1993, but before he did, he recorded a lengthy interview for the National Library's oral history project. This programme is taken from those archives, and begins with Tommy Adderley's account of his childhood in wartime Britain.
