After the success of Bathe In The River, Hollie Smith went on to double-platinum sales with her first album 'Long Player'. With hot-shot local management and an international deal with Blue Note things were looking very rosy. Two years later the Blue Note deal is dust and she's managing herself for the release of second album 'Humour And The Misfortune Of Others'. But life as an essentially independent artist seems to suit Smith. The Music Mix's Nick Atkinson takes up the story.
