Our museum stop today is in the central Otago town of Arrowtown. The Lakes District Museum and Gallery tells the story of early Māori life in the region and outlines the pioneering days of the European settlers and goldminers. It incorporates three historic buildings and has just had an official reopening following a big seismic strengthening and restoration project. Museum director David Clarke tells Anna all about it.
