Throwing wood: Kubb's rise in popularity in NZ

From Summer Times, 9:20 am on 15 January 2024

It's a game of throwing wooden sticks in the direction of your opponent and you've probably seen it played at a wedding.

It's called Kubb and it's a Swedish throwing game played on a 5 by 8 metre pitch. It has been described as a combination of bowling and pétanque.

To explain the game and its rise in popularity here is Freddie Coltart - who is one of the Kubb brothers. They've been making selling sets in New Zealand for a few years now.
