The quiet zone: the US town where Wi-Fi is banned

From Sunday Morning, 9:37 am on 22 March 2020

Tucked away in a mountain in the Allegheny Mountains in West Virginia is the Green Bank Radio Telescope - the largest steerable radio telescope in the world. The telescope needs to be isolated from all the radio noise that humanity produces. Which means that WiFi in Green Bank is both unavailable and banned, and cell signals are nonexistent. Dr. Karen O'Neil is the Director of the Green Bank Observatory.
