For some Maori in Te Tai Tokerau home can consist of tents, old milking sheds or a simple cabin. To respond to the need for better homes, a housing expo is being launched today at Waitangi. Several show homes have been erected on the sports field, next to the main treaty grounds. Government agencies and private providers will be there to share their expertise to help whanau overcome the obstacles to home ownership.
