The forum tent is always a hive of activity with a cocophony of voices talking to many different issues. A lot of what we see and hear on the marae at Waitangi is a reflection of indepth inquiry and investigation fleshed out in feature length at the forum Tent. Its normally located adjacent to Te Tii Marae, or the oft colloquially referred to "lower" marae, but due to renovation activity at that Marae, the forum tent moved to side of the waka house this year, close to the Treaty Grounds. One of the intriguing discussions this year was a local government representatives panel, featuring Tui Shortland, Bonita Bigham, Sam Broughton and the facilitator, Far North Mayor, Moko Te Pania.
