Every year RNZ Drama produces a collection of short stories from the graduating MA writers at the International Institute of Modern Letters, Victoria University Wellington.

This year, 2019, RNZ is pleased to collaborate with The University of Auckland and its Masters in Creative Writing students to extend this collection and showcase even more new work.

The collection will be broadcast in 4 parts across the second half of 2019.  All the stories will eventually appear here in this online collection.

From the Producers

An audio production of a story is a different beast to words on a page: it's something that is fleeting - transient. Writing on a page is something that can be mulled over, and reconsidered at the reader's own pace. In choosing these particular pieces for production we have had, in some measure, to consider which of them might work effectively in  audio form as well as work as stand-alone short stories.
