Charlotte Bellis is a New Zealand TV journalist working as the Afghanistan correspondent for Al Jazeera. Recently she is most known as the pregnant Kiwi who isn't allowed to come home to give birth. Frances Joychild QC argues pregnant New Zealanders should automatically qualify for emergency MIQ spots. She joins Karyn to explain why Charlotte Bellis should be allowed back into the country.

10:28 Kiwis wasting millions on unused gift cards

According to the latest research from financial comparison site Finder, millions of dollars-worth of gift cards are going unused by Kiwis each year. A nationally representative survey of 1,507 participants found the average Kiwi has 3 gift cards with remaining store credit, with a combined total of $72 leftover. This is equivalent to a national total of $267 million.

After her travel plans were cancelled in 2020 she decided to use her qualifications to add value to their wool. This Saturday, Kate will be launching her business Davaar & Co where she has taken wool from her family property and produced homespun-style woollen jerseys with the entire process manufactured in New Zealand.
